Do you want to help us save lives and support those affected by breast cancer?

Our purpose is to help islanders to detect breast cancer early and support anyone affected.

Our goal is to educate and engage in order to detect signs and symptoms early.

12% of breast cancer cases are diagnosed late in Guernsey - our vision is for this to be 0%

Would you like to be a superhero? Be part of a committee whose goal going into 2025 is to save lives.

As we approach our 25th anniversary, the Pink Ladies are reviewing how we, as the Islands breast cancer charity, work best to ensure the charity meets the needs of the local community.

Campaigning to ensure islanders are aware of their breast health, working with local cancer charities to make sure we’re offering the right support options to those affected, along with tasks such as keeping up to date with local laws and regulations.

We have our goals, our ambitions, and the passion to make a difference, but we need more superhero’s to fuel the pink fire. Looking to appoint 2-3 new members to join the committee, we’re eager to talk to individuals with previous experience in charity governance, along with people that can bring a fresh perspective, a passion for the charities goals and purpose, and primarily, a passion for making a difference.

Everyone involved in the charity is a volunteer, and so how much time you can reasonably dedicate can be agreed at the outset. At a minimum, the time commitment would be as follows:

  • Monthly committee meetings,

  • Supporting special events such as our biannual sunset walk, our annual flag day and our annual October lunch.

Our goal at all times is to ensure that committee members are supported, and that time spent working together is enjoyable and collaborative.

The Pink Ladies Guernsey has a long and powerful history of supporting women and people affected by breast cancer in the bailiwick, and we look forward to your support and contribution to our next chapter.
